Maldives – Coronavirus

Kuredu Island and Summer Island

Both Islands have been put on lock down, with no confirmed cases of Coronavirus but guests and a staff member have been tested, results are being waited for.

Guests due arrive – Therefore as a precaution guests due to arrive today are being taken to another resort of similar standard and given same meal plan booked.

Guests in resort – Guests in resort are being looked after.


Statement re Kuredu which mirrors Summer Island to show the impact and how they are dealing with it-

‘The well-being and safety of the Kuredu Resort guest and employees is our primary concern, this is to confirm

there are no confirmed cases of COVID 19 on the resort. We are working closely with both the Ministry of Tourism

and Health Protection Agency as we take the precautionary measures of testing. At this time we have been advised

results may take up to 48hrs to be confirmed as either negative or positive.

Guest due to depart the resort prior to the test results being confirmed will be offered accommodation on full board

basis and all the guest booked for Kuredu from 7th March 2020 onwards, will be automatically redirected to other CCR Resorts

once they land on Velana International Airport until these temporary measures are lifted.

The resort will continue to monitor the situation closely to ensure the safety of all guests, employees, partners on the island.’
