Ski Train
Offers you the possibility of 8 days on the slopes with the introduction of the
Eurostar Ski Train service direct from St. Pancras International Station. If
you're tired of flight delays, the inconvenience of getting to and from the
airport or maybe you just fancy the experience of gliding through the French
countryside, then the Ski Train could be for you.
How does it work?
It's easy - Simply meet the train at St. Pancras International on Friday
evening at 20:31. No need to change trains in Paris as this service brings you
directly to the Alps. For guests travelling to a resort in Les Trois Vallées,
you'll arrive in Moûtiers at 05:37 and be transferred to your accommodation. If
you prefer to stay in the resort of Les Arcs, just stay on the train for
another 50 minutes to arrive in Bourg St. Maurice.
Once you've arrived at your accommodation and put your luggage in storage,
you're free to hit the slopes. If you've pre-booked equipment hire and lift
passes, you'll receive vouchers for an 8 day service.
You may also choose the option of departing on Saturday morning, simply sit
back and take in some of the most breathtaking views you'll see from a train,
meet the train at St. Pancras at 10:00, arrive in resort in time for dinner -
Moûtiers 17:30, Bourg St. Maurice 18:20.
Important Notes:
For the early morning arrivals your room may not be ready until late afternoon.
However, temporary facilities will be made available for you to store your
luggage while you're enjoying the slopes.
The ski train goes direct to the Alps however there are no couchettes available
on this service. The fares that are advertised are based on standard
seating.
The overnight service on both dates will allow you to take in 8 days skiing.
The day service will allow you to have 6 days skiing.
It is possible to board the train at Ashford International however this must
requested at the time of booking and will be subject to
availability.
Please note that there is a limit on the amount of alcohol you are allowed to
take on board the Eurostar ski train.
Each person will only be allowed to carry a limit of no more than four standard
cans or bottles of beer, or one bottle of wine, or a half bottle of
spirits.
Eurostar have the right to prevent the carriage of any alcohol, if in their
opinion they consider it appropriate. Their absolute discretion to forbid the
carrying of any alcohol by a passenger may be more likely should it appear that
the passenger has already been cosuming alcohol prior to the journey, and/or
there is any concern about the past, present or possible future behaviour of
the passenger.
There is a family area on the train located in coaches 1 and 18. The area is
divided from the rest of the carriage so children cannot wander too
far.
